The Avil is an antiallergic medicine in which contains pheniramine. This medicine is available in the form of tablet, syrup and injection form. It is manufactured by Sonafi india Ltd. This medicine reduce the inflammation of allergic rhinitis and other allergic disorders such as hayfever, runny nose, itching skin and skin rashes. This drug is also use in the prevention and treatment for inner ear disorder and motion sickness. It is available in the form of tablet, syrup and injection.

What is Avil?
The avil is an brand name of pheniramine which is antiallergic medicine. It removes allergic infection from the body and gives relief to all body. Beside this, it is use in anaphylaxixs drug reaction and many other types of reaction and allergy.
Uses
This drug is use in various conditions that is cause by allergic infection such as rhinitis, dry cough, conjunctivitis, skin rashes, breathing problem, vomiting and many other conditions that is cause by allergy. Beside this it is use in anaphylactic reaction and other type of allergy also such as insect bite.

Work
The pheniramine which is ingredient of avil as block the action of histamine in your body. The histamine is a natural chemical that is produce in the body when any allergen such as pollen grains, dust, insect bite, cockroach and any other allergens is contact to your any body parts. When histamine is produce then there are some symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, rashes, redness of skin, itching, breathing difficulty occurs. But this drug gives relief from any allergic condition by blocking the action of histamine.
Dose
For adult : 25 mg 2 to 3 times a day upto improve allergic infection. This drug should not be exceed 100 mg per day.
6 to 12 years : 15 to 20 mg 2 to 3 times a day upto improve allergic infection.
1 to 5 years : 10 to 15 mg 2 to 3 times a day.
6 month to 1 year : 0.5 mg per kg 2 to 3 times a day or 2.5 to 5 mg 2 to 3 times a day.
Precaution
The drug should be use carefully during pregnancy, breastfeeding, old age (above 60 years), children, driving, hypertension, epilepsy and benign prostatic hypertrophy (enlarge prostate gland).

Contraindication
This medicine should not be use under 6 month infants and neonates. If you have any obstruction in your gastro intestinal tract or urinary tract then you should not be use this drug.
Side effects
There are following side effects that may be occur :-
Dryness of mouth
Nausea & vomiting
Vertigo
Bradycardia
Tachycardia
Constipation

This drug is available in the form of injection, tablet & syrup.
The tablet is available in 25mg & 50mg.
The injection is available in the form of 2ml ampoule and 10ml vial. In which pheniramine maleate contains 22.75mg per ml.
The syrup is available in 100ml bottle. In which the pheniramine maleate contain 15mg per ml.
Interaction
This medicine increases the effect of alcohol, opioids and antispasm medicine. Beside this, it is increases the toxicity of aminoglycosides such as amikacin.
How should to take Avil?
This drug is available in the form of tablet, syrup and injection. The tablet should be taken with or after meal. Never chew the tablet rather it should swallow with a glass of water.
If you are using syrup then you should shake well before use.
If you are using injection form then you should use this medicine into im or iv
Overdose of avil
If the dose of avil is over then there may be some of the following symptoms may be occur :-
Nausea
Vomiting
Drowsiness
Beside this, some complications may be seen in the rare cases.
What happens from expired avil?
If you have used expired avil then the work of avil will be neutral means there may be not seen any +ve or -ve effects of this medicine in your body. Beside this, there will be no any undesirable effects seen in your body.
When start the effect of Avil and till stay
The effect of avil start within one hour after administration. And the effect of this drug peak between 1.5 to 3 hours. However it's effect may be vary in each individual.
When you should avoid avil
You should to avoid taking avil if you have some of the following conditions :-
Epilepsy : If you are suffering from epileptic condition then you should not take this drug.
Liver or kidney disease : If you have liver or kidney disease then this medicine is not safe for you.
Allergy : Pheniramine is ingredient of avil if you have allergy from pheniramine then you should must avoid avil.
Glaucoma : If you are suffering from glaucoma then avil is not safe for you.
Breathing disorder : If you have breathing disorder such as asthama, emphysema, bronchitis then you should not take avil.
Heart disease : If you have any type of heart disease then before take avil always consult your cardiologist.
Thyroid disease : You should not use this drug if you have thyroid disease.
Precaution during to take Avil
There are following conditions in which you should keep precaution before use this drug :-
Enlarge prostate : You should use carefully this drug during enlarge ptostate gland.
Children : This drug should be use carefully under 2 years old.
Liver or kidney impairment : If you have liver or kidney disease then it will be better that don't use this medicine. However if you need this medicine then use with very carefully.
Storage
This drug should be keep in the room temperature. But away from heat, moisture and direct sun light. And away from reach to children.
